What you'll need:

1 acorn squash
2 tsp butter
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp maple syrup

Preheat oven to 400.

Cut acorn squash in half and scoop out the seeds and strings. Score the insides in a criss-cross pattern.

Rub the insides of each half with the butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and salt, then drizzle with maple syrup.

Place the halves inside a baking dish or roasting pan, and fill the bottom with about 1/2 inch of water (this will keep them from drying out). Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until the tops of the squash halves are browned and the insides soft and cooked.
